Color was really nice and had the brightness of wine still on its youthful side. We decanted for an hour and a half and enjoyed over two. It just kept getting better and in the future will decant at least two. Aromatics were subtle but had notes of raspberry and cherry, a breadlike yeastiness that I find very warm and pleasant, and a touch of pepper. On the palate I found everything harmonious from restrained fruitiness to earth and spice, the slightest bit of cola. I found it well balanced. Had with duck confit, cauliflower soup with white truffle oil, garlic whipped potatoes and portobello mushrooms a la Julia Child. Would definitely go back for this.
