Saturday, February 26, 2011 - Dark color. nose was tight tonight showing dark cherry fruit with significant coaxing. on the palate, there was tart cherry/cranberry flavor with acid backbone. there was some weight and glycerin in the midpalate, and i didn;t detect much tannin. finish was mostly tart with some salinity. like several 2006 burgundies that i have tasted i think that this wine is somewhat shut down and needs some time. it might be very good then.
