Sunday, March 13, 2011 - I didn't get the same over extracted fruit that others claimed. I did get a very tannic wine that should mellow out with age and let other elements flow forward. Double decanting helps along with two hours but this needs a couple years in the cellar.
Deep purple color. Rich nose of currant and cedar. Blackberry wrapped in rich tart tannins overpowering other notes and hiding the complexity of the fruit.
