Saturday, March 19, 2011 - Lovely NZ Sauv Blanc and a style I haven't consumed in awhile. This reminded me how much I enjoy it. On the nose this is rich with citrus fruits, grapefruit, gooseberry, lime, with robust freshly cut grass. This is a vibrant and full nose with a streak of acidity running through it. On the palate, this was again vibrant and light on its feet, but it still had a nice full fruit profile of grapefruit, lime and lemon zest. Nice notes of mineral and green grass again. Crisp lingering finish with the acid a nice refreshing and lifting touch. Beautiful wine for the price.
