Sunday, January 2, 2005 - Solid wine. Decanted it just before serving. Nose has that cherry/leaf mold aromas, quite sweet. Still quite dark. Is showing good integration and complexity, acids in good harmony with the fruit. No noticeable oak. Silky texture is showing, but you do notice the heat of the vintage. Has some dry tannis still on the finish. Just wonderful with rare prime rib.
