Saturday, July 16, 2011 - I was at a dinner party so I did not focus my attention as usual. However, the bottle was purchased on release and held in a passive, reasonably constant temperature cellar. The wine had some oranging at the rim and red/purple centers. The nose was classic cab with forest floor, black fruits, and just a hint of herbs.

In the mouth the wine was soft, round, and ripe. it had reasonable acidity and good length. I was hoping for better. It this bottle is representative, it seems like it is time to drink this wine (with 2+ hours of air) even though the color is still rather dark. I would like to try another bottle.
