Friday, September 23, 2011 - Golden color. Nose: lychee and white peach accented by lemon peel, coconut, lees/yeast, and an interesting hint of red licorice. Medium body on the palate: ripe Meyer lemon and white peach with citrus peel, coconut, anise/clove spice, white pepper, and again the hint of red licorice. Aggressive acidity. Lingering chalk and white pepper on the moderate/long finish. A touch hot. Nothing brilliant, but still a very good and relatively complex food white.
