Monday, October 10, 2011 - Somewhat muted aromas of cranberry upon opening. With air, aromas of plum, black cherry and a hint of smoke. After more time, spice and richer red fruit are added. Light bodied with gentle tannins and good cleansing acidity being a constant from the beginning. On the back end, a good dose of fruit attacks before a shortish finish. A subtle and elegant, yet complex, Pinot for being so young and a nice bottle for the money. Not one for the ages, but very well made and the acidity should help it develop for a couple of years. Very good to excellent QPR.
