Monday, October 10, 2011 - Blind Tasting 1978 - 1990 Ridge Zinfandels (Rich & Peggy's House, Los Altos, CA): Oaky nose, some buttered popcorn too. Medium bodied with nice medium+ acidity. Tart apple, honeysuckle, lemon and a touch of oak on the palate. This doesn't hit my chardonnay sweet spot right now but could be lovely in three+ years when the oak has integrated. Seems to have the structure to age.
