Community Tasting Note

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 - Nice dark cherry flavors and sandalwood. No major oak, although it does seem more modern style. Balanced and lots of structure. Decent acidity to pair with food. This is begging to be aged for another decade, although it drinks well now.
My problem with it is that I couldn't really detect any mourvedre. No saddle leather, horse hair, bret, any of the fun stuff. Seems almost too sterile.Tasted like a Cotes Du Rhone more than a Bandol. But it may not taste that way in a decade. A T. Edwards Ltd. import.
