Upon opening and throughout, the nose was quite expressive, showing dark fruits. Deep garnet in color. While certainly full-bodied, this is by no means an Aussie ooze-monster, and even had a sense of elegance. Initially, the Cabernet flavors seemed to dominate, but with time, hints of blue fruit appeared on the palate, and black pepper on the lingering finish. 92-93
