Thursday, October 19, 2006 - Wine Spectator Grand Tasting (Marriott Hotel, San Francisco, CA): Everything I love in Howell Mountain Cabs. Dark puple color from the deeply extracted fruit. Very ripe fruit with strong mountain tannins, balanced enough to drink now but will last for years and years. Nose/mouth of blackberry, leather, and flowers. Long 40+ second finish.
