Sunday, June 28, 2009 - On release this wine was a ‘ripsnorter’ and I duly bought a case to tuck away, I’m happy to report that its developing well. The nose is taking on a little moss and undergrowth development as well as quite bright perfume of cherry. In the mouth there’s liqueur cherry at the heart and sour cherries along the extremities and the whole package is trimmed nicely by freshly tilled earth. It shows more density than by rights it perhaps should and I think I’ll give the remaining botts a decent slumber before hooking into them.
