Sunday, January 8, 2012 - Good depth of darkish cherry-skin colour for a wine from a weaker vintage, with no bricking as yet. Caraway seeds are the first impression, followed by dried fruits, then dried black fruits, even hinting at prunes. But not overripe. (13.5% alcohol shown on the label). The wood emerges and then recedes. Full bodied. Good ripeness on the palate and no dilution. Classic Right Bank, but with an accent on dried black fruit flavours. Drying tannins toward the end of the bottle. This very good plus wine is at peak.
