Friday, December 1, 2006 - What a surprise. I must admit, I didn't want to like this wine. A second label only a couple bucks cheaper then the 1st label, produced by a company that's been enveloped by a huge company. I mean, it's not the type of wine I want to get excited about, or expect to. So imagine my surprise when this wine tasted like... pinot noir. I mean this wine could serve as the example in the "Here's the flavor profile of a standard California Pinot Noir." And hey, that's not bad. It's clean, has great acidity, is full of cherries and a little rasberry. It's simple, but at less then $20, I can't really complain. So what I can I say? There are better wines out there at the price, but this delivers all that is expected.
