Thursday, March 22, 2012 - Decanted 30 minutes. Dark red black starting to turn at rim. Lovely elegant but powerful classic warm blackcurrant with hints of leather and undergrowth. A little less full on palate than expected from nose with cedar more prominently. Nice balance with some vegetal tones on finish. Fantastic with steak. For a ‘poor’ vintage this wine is getting better and better and now at least worth the en-primeur price 4+/5 (94-97).
