Tuesday, April 3, 2012 - Nice effort from the Rhys team. The robe was a deep ruby red; the nose was densely perfumed, a hallmark characteristic of Rhys’ wines, with red fruits (predominantly cherry and red raspberry), minerals, spice, florals and stems. The palate didn’t seem closed but just wasn’t as engaging as the nose. The palate offered a muted version of the notes displayed on the nose, though this still was an enjoyable drink.
