Wednesday, May 23, 2012 - Pours a brickish-ruby in the glass. Definitely reminiscent of other 2007 pinot's. Aromas of cherry kirsch, pepper, floral perfume, and dusty black soil waft out of the glass. The fruit dominates but not in a bad way, it's just the most forceful aroma. On the palate this wine is deliciously clean and easy to drink. Plenty of acidity reins in the fruit flavors, allowing earth and pepper to showcase nicely. The finish is medium length but does fall apart a little bit. An excellent 2007 pinot noir.
