Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - Truchard Tasting w/Anthony Truchard (Gibby's Wine Den, Geneva): Inky crimson color. Aromas of blue fruit, incense, lavender and violets, boysenberry and white pepper. Nice legs- lots of glycerin. Full-bodied, with flavors of black currants, macerated black raspberry, spice and pepper. Subtle meaty quality, with heavy spice notes dominating the finish. About 5% whole cluster fermentation. 88+ pts for me, same for Domino.
