Friday, November 23, 2012 - Decanted for 2 hours before Thanksgiving dinner. Big red fruits of rasberry, bing cherries, and cassis up front. Contrasted and provided balance with the tobacco, leather, and lively acidity in the mouth and finish. Very new age and bright Pinot. Earthiness not as apparent as other Pinot's from similar regions. The acidity was more apparent than I expected which contributed to its complexity but I think the up-front fruit can't compete much longer. Probably at its prime right now and trending downhill. Still very good though.
