Saturday, November 24, 2012 - Not sure why I like this wine so much more today than the last time. It might be only that the wine has almost a year more in the bottle than the last time I tried this wine. The wine is richer this time with a definitive bitter edge that makes the wine stand up in a good way to strong-flavored Thanksgiving foods. (A beet, mushroom, and chicken sausage stew pairs beautifully too.) The lentil/soy flavor is just barely there, but the silky texture is really noticeable. Beautiful-but-light floral accents on the nose lead to meyer lemon on the palate. Finish is really long. A lot nicer than I expected. I almost wish I had kept this in the bottle for another year.
