2007 Sea Smoke Pinot Noir Southing

Community Tasting Note

Does not like this wine:

87 Points

Friday, December 28, 2012 - This is a weird bottle of Cali pinot. Nose shows some super ripe red fruits with raspberry dominating. Palate is an odd mix of ripe red fruits, vibrant acidity (with a cherry pit character), but is somehow watery and unexpressive. Over acidified? Finishes rather quickly, simple and sour. This is a perplexing wine, not especially enjoyable now and I'm not really sure time will help, but hopefully it will gain some weight and become more open. Terrible value given the price.
