Friday, February 8, 2013 - Pale gold, showing clear edges with an almost rusty hue in the centre. Complex, sweet, warm, butterscotch, slightly mushroomy smell. Very dry with a layered complex spicy, warm taste. Very long and satisfying length. Tasted directly in comparison with a Paul Blanck Grand Cru Riesling from Alsace, this stood up very well indeed. A very satisfying wine, and I don't think it's available now at anything like what I paid for it.
