Tuesday, February 19, 2013 - 13.3% alcohol. Black cherry color. Pretty nose of dark cherry, stems, and an earthy undertone. In the mouth, vibrant and refined, with good texture and mouth feel and plenty of bursting black cherry fruit. There's a stemmy note underlying the palate that makes me think this will become slightly too stemmy down the road, as was the case with some of the Alesia wines from 2006. But this is terrific drinking right now. A-
