Friday, March 1, 2013 - Nose is flawless for aged French syrah from a fine producer and hilly terrain: rich and meaty, hint of smoke, vanilla, slight earthiness (milking barn) and good fruit. Sweetly fruity and dry arrival with balanced acidity, low tannin. Development in the palate is fair, with round mouth-feel and moderate fruit, neither a bomb nor lean one. Finishes with lingering balsamic notes. Lovely. Bottle #2 of two.
