Sunday, March 3, 2013 - A very enjoyable Burg. Shows the 2006 character a bit - the fruit is a little riper than usual, the wine is fairly accessible at this young age. However, there is a shortage of mid-palate weight...to be expected for a less-than-perfect vintage. Guillon tends towards a bit of a riper, more modern style, and this comes through the profile of the wine. Overall though quite a decent value, and a nice Gevrey 1er to drink while you wait for your big boys from 2005, etc to be ready.
