Saturday, April 27, 2013 - Quite backward at the moment. Pepper and black currant comes across the restrained bouquet. After some coaxing it opens up slightly towards a more herbal character with more luscious fruit. The palate has an intense tannic structure but plenty of fruit stuffing as well. Best to let this rest for several years, but ultimately I found this enjoyable today as well. Give it a long decant.
