Wednesday, June 19, 2013 - A big, beefy Zin without being jammy or boozy. While there's notable dark fruit - blackberry and black cherry - in the nose, barrel aromas stand out, with notable vanilla, charred oak and bramble. Slight upfront sweetness from the currant-like fruit is quickly balanced by tart cranberry. Vanilla notes linger with nicely rounded tannins in the finish.
