Thursday, October 10, 2013 - Plenty of young, deep, dark fruit here, but this wine is not entirely clean, even after 2.5 hours in the decanter. In the 25th anniversary edition of his Adventures on the Wine Route, Kermit Lynch adds an epilog that discusses various producers in the original edition and says that he had to drop Farraud because the son's wines were often flawed. Alas, this wine justifies Kermit, even though it is still drinkable.
