Friday, November 15, 2013 - This opaque crimson wine was tasted in double-blind fashion. It offers aromas and flavors of ripe bramble fruits, loamy earth and exotic spices. Full-bodied, fresh and with massive chewy tannins which build in the middle, it concludes with a lengthy, albeit tart and astringent finish. This is is a youthful, very masculine wine which will require significant patience. It will also be important to keep a keen eye on serving temperature, as its 15% alcohol is not subtle. Drink 2017-2030.
