Sunday, November 17, 2013 - Properly cellared. This is classic Wrightian Pinot. Deep, dark, extracted fruit flavors on top of nutty mushroom and herbal structure, and then a long, lingering finish. After an hour and a half opened, this wine really began to shine. I am particularly excited by the thyme on the mid-palate and the finish. But, there is also the brightness of cherries that hasn't lost it's punch, and the tannins are tame but not spent, so this wine is beautifully balanced. This wine is begging to be paired with a perfectly roasted chicken.
