Saturday, June 1, 2013 - Decanted shortly before tasting. Lots of leather and earth and tobacco on the nose. Very pleasant fruit on the palate--strawberry, peach--mixed with leather, earth, some tannic astringency, and vanilla. Lovely wine, and will certainly age well for another 10+ years easily, and probably improve somewhat.

Double decanted immediately after first tasting note was completed and tasted again after 3 hours. Spicy but smoother, cedar, oak, still with strawberry, peach, earth, and vanilla. Still has tannins, but has smoothed out quite a bit now and still with some tobacco leaf. 92

Tasted after close to 4 hours open. Lots of blood, iron, oak, cedar. 92
