91 Points

Saturday, December 21, 2013 - The density that was there in its youth is going away a bit, but this is still an excellent wine.

Nose: Sour Cherry, Strawberry, Sous Bois and earthy spice (carraway/fennel). Palate: Medium bodied but showing very full flavor profile. Finish: Moderate length with great spice and tart red fruits.

Update: I froze this when I did not finish the bottle and came back to it on New Years Day. After a longer opening period this was really fresh and showing great complexity. Some of the chocolate and floral notes were coming back into the wine. 93+ upon revisiting.
