Friday, January 10, 2014 - Vibrant purple in appearance, typical of young South Australian Shiraz. Black Plum, with some of that McLaren Vale dark chocolate expression, plus something else...cured meats perhaps? In the mouth, it is medium to full, with more of that regional dark chocolate aspect making it's presence felt. Rather smooth and crowd pleasing, with a soft tannin profile, but a reasonable finish. Not a complex wine by any means, but neither is it meant to be. Great to just drink. Not to cellar. Better than previous vintages I've tried. Value.
