Saturday, January 18, 2014 - BWC 2014 - The Grand Crus of Chambertin: Gorgeous. Like a jewel. Immediately appealing for the richness of fruit and flower on the nose (although one taster rightly pointed out that there is specifically chicken sh*t that emerges with time). The wine feels perfectly built. Harmony of structure and fruit and acid and mineral and the texture is noble and silky and the whole thing is just a perfect circle. And no where near its apex either - not even into the secondary yet. If I had more of this, I would wait as long as I could over the next decade.
