Thursday, February 20, 2014 - We enjoyed this at Angelimi Oesterai in Beverly Hills CA. While it was not as dark as I expected, the lighter Ruby color presented itself well. Definitely not thick and chewy, but barolos are not supposed to be. Right away I got spices and minerals without an acidic tang. This was a fun one just to sip and analyse. In the mouth I got smked meat flavors, a touch of leather, and a hint of chocolate. I would and did give a 92. I will be looking for some for the cellar.

Devin and I had the pleasure of meeting Gaia Gaja, Angelo’s Daughter at a wine tasting dinner in Lake Lousie. She is cute as a bug and really knows her stuff. We did a nine year vertical of Sori Tildin. She had her field notes and was very well versed.
