Saturday, June 30, 2007 - Honeyed appley-citrus nose with strong minerality. Palate similar to nose with moderate citrus acidity on finish. A winner and one to age. Excellent with smoked ham, pork sausage, and grilled zuccini. Drank with Leslie, Uwe, and Kelly along with another '05, a Cluesserath from the Apotheke vineyard in Trittenheim. The Cluesserath was more elegant but the Grans-Fassian was more assertive.
