85 Points

Sunday, September 28, 2014 - The nose is ebullient. Caramel corn, almost burnt sugar on the top of crème brulée. Dulce de leche smell and flavour. A pleasant experience. No charred wood hints, as with bourbon (this is not bourbon). On the palate, this whiskey is just as giving, so long as you take very small sips. Otherwise the mouthfeel is pure burning from alcohol. On the palate, there are richness and a certain sweetness. A very distinctive flavour that I've never had before in whiskey. Like Canadian whiskey but richer and sweeter. Overall, a pleasant experience. Overall value: 3.5 stars of 5. High good to very good (84.5-85).
