Sunday, October 12, 2014 - Perennially underrated. Blinded, I'd guess this a 2nd growth pauillac or Mouton from a lesser vintage. Dense ruby color with only hint of orange starting to show at rim. Svelte, rich nose of dense fruit, leather craftman's shop, and a flaxen beauty's armpit (and I say that in a good way). In the mouth, same armpit, cool mint, tight dark fruits, perfectly firm tannins. Long but not yet gentle finish. I think this is a superb wine. Has a future too. Will buy more if I can find it. Later years (even 09) not this good.
