Friday, November 7, 2014 - Clear, medium ruby color.

Clean nose with medium+ aroma intensity. Aromas of black currant, cherries, dark plums, grass, black pepper, fresh herbs, cedar and coffee. Very "cool-climate nose". The nose is youthful.

Dry on the palate with medium acidity, medium+ tannins and body. The flavor intensity is medium and it has flavors of black currant, cherries, dark plums, grass, coffee and fresh herbs. The finish is medium+.

This wine was rather tight from the beginning but opened up after 3 hours in the decanter. At first I thought this was some kind of Bdx-blend with high percentage of Cab Franc but then the Shiraz-aromas started to show and the wine was just stunning. Very young today and needs some serious amount of air to get itself together. I'd rather cellar it for at least 5 years but it will last for a long time.
