90 Points

Sunday, December 7, 2014 - Deep garnet red with ruby rim. Intense nose that was first dominated by cedar and herbaceous notes. After an hour in the decanter, it opened up to herbes de Provence, some leather and discreet, underlying, poached black fruit. In the mouth medium light bodied, but with good mid palate density and velvety tannins. Balanced, herbal flavours with discreet sweetness. Slightly disappointing length. Not a powerful, but rather elegant, slightly austere wine; still, very classy - although no match for instance to the '98.
