Tannins are minimal with good balance on the mid palate. Surprisingly long with tannins staying in place. Some pleasant acidity hints at a wine to eat at the same time. Good balance, clearly not seen the best of it as this is an early window, I wonder if it will develop secondary flavours in a few years, only 3 bottles left so should wait a couple of years yet. I have minimal experience of American wines, just seen American Sniper too but whilst enjoying the film, surprised it's an Oscar nomination, shades of comparison here with the wine.
