Saturday, March 21, 2015 - 30 years of 1985 Bordeaux at The Papies (The Papies, Elizabeth St, London): Double decanted and left in bottle for a good 2 hours till we came round to serving it.
This was definitely not a characteristic 1985 LLC. We have been lucky to try this wine on a few occasions over the last 4 years and true bottles of this are stand outs 97s and 98s. Not this one though. felt like a 90-91 wine but we will not rate today as we feel its not a Par bottle. Gladly we have 3 more that are ex-chateau so hopefully those will sing.
