100 Points

Sunday, June 28, 2015 - 1500 Parker Points of Wines (GHT): Inky purple in color. The nose is great with black raspberries, blueberries, some pencil lead and some charred wood. On the palate, this drinks much deeper than the Bevan. While not as delicious perhaps, it has complexity and depth to it that event his young, is obvious and interesting. Great pure cassis fruit on the palate. Wonderful slippery yet full texture. Long finish. I suspect this shuts down a bit, but right now its amazing.

11/4/2015 8:02:00 PM - I always appreciate your reviews and they provide some great direction on optimal opening/decanting. To which Bevan wine were you comparing this wine? I am a full-blown appreciator of Bevan's portfolio and often compare his gems to Fred Schrader's.
