Wednesday, August 19, 2015 - Dark purple/garnet in glass, rich aromas of black and red fruits. Big surprise from this vintage, as this was one of the best Cheval's we've had. Nice balance of fruit, acidity and silky tannins, emphasizing flavors of black cherry and a touch of wild strawberry, Asian spice and a hint of oak on the long, tasty finish. Classic Santa Maria fruit, and masterfully done in a tough vintage (for others).
