Saturday, August 22, 2015 - Had this logged in as a Pinotage - must have accidentally been added to a Pinotage order in the dim distant past (have never bought the CS).
Impressive. Near clean 2hr decant. Significant clear meniscus but no bricking and a deep red core. Aromas and taste in mid palate of ripe brûlée blackberry and blackcurrant, touches of truffle and liquorice. Dusty smooth tannins and just-so balancing acidity. Medium to good length. Complexity in a medium-bodied frame.
À point and for drinking over the next year or two. A surprise singleton.
