Thursday, September 3, 2015 - Colour: inky cherry red
Nose: blackberry, black currant, plum. Ferrous and leathery, stern. Sweet spice. Rich and dark and earthy. Sweet hay.
Palate: lots of rich black fruit. Blackberry, black currant, plum. Sweet spice, old oak. Leathery, earthy, ironstone. Stern, structural fine grained drying tannins. Mild acidity. Surprisingly elegant despite the 14% alcohol.
