Sunday, September 27, 2015 - Vosne Romanee Tasting (Golden Gate Yacht Club, San Francisco): Light clear ruby; nose is very aromatic with black spice, musk, some slight funkiness and very slight Brett which I like, nice green complexity underlying it; palate is light but had good density, almost a bit of black pepper, excellent fruit relatively ripe; medium finish. This is atypical for a burgundy and a vosne romanee and is quite dense and funky, but I think that gives it superb character. Enjoyable to drink. 92-93
