Thursday, October 8, 2015 - Brown, oxidized color - just as you'd expect. Whiff of iron, molasses, and nutty sweetness. Full mouth feel, with complex mixture of dried fruit, and a somewhat tart finish - not too sweet. Goes well with most desserts, complementing sweetness but offering a contrast with its tartness and slight acidity. The quality barely suffered as I returned to the bottle for a sip over a period of several week - unlike port or other fortified wines. Good value and underrated postprandial treat.
