But whoa, this is surprisingly not ridiculously over-the-top. A slight bit of pencil on the nose. There's a whole hell of a lot of leather on the palate, and very coarse tannins. Sweet fruit, and the oak isn't too obvious. Black-fruited and concentrated, with moderate acidity. Again, as I said, this is a real surprise.
